Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, Halifet holds an LLB in Law from Wollo University in Ethiopia and is employed as a Lecturer at Wollo University Law School. Passionate human rights researcher who presented different legal topics concerning mainly irregular migration and women's rights in Ethiopia. Halifet has an MA in Applied Islamic Ethics from Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar. Her thesis mainly explored the issue of Ethiopian migrants in the GCC and the role of Islamic Ethics and Human Rights in addressing different cases relating to the Ethics of Migration in the Muslim World from an Islamic and secular perspective. Bouthaina Ben Kridis A Tunisian researcher in Public international law I had my Master’s degree in Common-Law As a civil society activist, I worked on a number of advocacy issues relating to persons with disabilities as well as advocacy towards better protection and inclusion of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Tunisia. I have also published Articles and policy papers in French, Arabic and English on asylum and migration issues, minority rights, human rights and international humanitarian law. In 2019, I joined the Global Academic Network researching on the objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees, and forced displacement issues. Since February 2021, I have been a Country of Origin Information Expert for Tunisia for the Rights in Exile (RiE) programme at AMERA international.

Ayman Zohry (Ph.D. University of Sussex) is an Expert on Population and Migration Studies based in Cairo, Egypt. He is the founding president of The Egyptian Society for Migration Studies (EGYMIG). Dr. Zohry is also an Adjunct Professor in the American University in Cairo (AUC) and Cairo University. Dr. Zohry is the chair of the Scientific Panel on Migration, Union for African Population Studies (UAPS) and former chair of the first Scientific Panel on International Migration, the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) 2011-2014. His current research interests include internal migration and urbanization, labor migration, irregular migration, migration governance, and migration policies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Europe. Dr. Zohry served as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies, 2005 - 2013. Currently, he serves as a member of the editorial board of the International Migration Review (IMR).

Aya Kasasa is an International Expert in Development and Strategies. She specialised in the definition and implementation of developmental strategies by servicing the organs of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States - OACPS (former ACP Group of States) and the European Union (EU). She contributed to the adoption of the Brussels Declaration of ACP Ministers responsible for Asylum, Migration and Mobility, the ACP Position on Migration and Mobility for the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) and the setting-up of the ACP Observatory on Migration in collaboration with the IOM.
